Grace Bicycles was incorporated by Roy Cervantes in September of 2004. We are a retailer of cycling goods and services catering to the aspirations of cycling enthusiasts and their families looking for the highest level of equipment and services available. While we offer the very best values in bicycles and cycling accessories, we also recognize that proper bicycle fit and maintenance, as well as training support, are absolutely essential in helping a cyclist ride more efficiently and comfortably. Grace Bicycles will use proven products and methodologies and continue to evaluate future technologies and processes to provide solutions that fulfill our clients' cycling needs in a friendly, professional, efficient, and educational manner. This will help ensure the steady growth not only of our business but also of the sport we love.
Founder Roy Cervantes has worked in the Boston area bicycle industry for twenty-three years. He has worked as store manager and service mechanic for top stores in Boston and the suburbs. For four years, he worked to execute bicycle fit and performance design for Seven Cycles, one of the world's largest custom framebuilders, based in Watertown, MA. As a retailer, a bicycle fitter, and devoted husband and father of three, Roy brings an experienced, balanced approach to listening, recommending, and executing solutions for cyclists and their families.
Roy is the most experienced certified bike fitter in eastern Massachusetts using the Retul 3D Motion Capture System. Roy is also a member of the Serotta International Cycling Institute, with advanced certification in Bicycle Fit, Triathlon Fit, Shoe and Pedal Interface, and Advanced Fit Issues. He is a graduate of Columbia University in New York.
Scott Sherman is a Massachusetts native, growing up in the Boston area and now residing in Franklin with his wife and daughter. He is a veteran of the Retail industry, most recently as a consultant with the Nielsen Company. He was drawn to cycling in the 80's as a means to keep in shape for skiing. Feeling "fast" he entered his first race and was hooked. With Roy's blessing he started the Grace Bicycles Velo Club in 2008. The club is comprised of both racing and recreational riders and holds regular rides from the shop on Sundays and Thursday nights.
Scott began working at Grace Bicycles in 2010, learning the business from Roy. He administers the Computrainer sessions held at the shop during the winter months. He is also a resource for racing and training advise having ridden quite a bit of equipment in twenty-five years. Scott also is available for "on the road" instruction of basic cycling skills. He can help you with various techniques so you will get the most enjoyment and performance from your cycling.
Grace Bicycles focuses primarily on road, triathlon, and cyclocross cycling disciplines. Our specialty is determining proper rider position by performing a thorough fitting, then working with select North American framebuilders to execute a bike whose frame geometry ensures not only proper fit but also optimal handling, drivetrain performance, and comfort based on the rider's preferences. The builders we partner with and represent are Parlee Cycles, based in Peabody, MA, makers of the highest quality carbon fiber frames in the world, Moots Cycles out of Steamboat Springs, CO, builders of world-renowned titanium road, cross, touring, and mountain bikes, and Independent Fabrication of Newmarket, NH, builders of some of the very best titanium and steel frames available with the sweetest custom paint jobs you can imagine. Finally, we partner with Honey Bicycles in Watertown, MA and Waterford Precision Cycles of Waterford, WI, whose experience, heritage, and passion working with steel allows them to build the highest quality lugged and welded frames.
